To this day, the Dealership still receive phone calls, emails and letters from complete strangers saying how impressed they were when they saw the flag.  Most of these people are from out of state and simply saw it during their travels along I-75.  People have actually went out of thier way to turn around and stop in to take pictures and make comments.

The American Flag

Dave Arbogast is proud to display "Old Glory" to all those that drive by on I-75.  To our knowledge, this is the tallest free-standing flag pole in the entire State of Ohio (a record formally held by the "Horseshoe" at THE Ohio State University).

THE Ohio State University flag pole measures 146' (162' with 16' in the ground) and was installed by the very same company that installed the Arbogast Flag (they are the world's largest manufacturer and installer of flagpoles that exceed 100', and to their credit have designed, engineered, manufactured, and installed the world's largest free-standing flagpole, located in Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates standing at 400'.)

The flag itself measures 30' x 60' and weights 90lbs dry and just about 400lbs wet.  One Stripe on the Flag measures 28" wide and one star 13".  Because of the open space along I-75, the Flag is changed for repair and/or mending about every 3 or 4 weeks (depending on weather.  The activity of actually changing the flag requires about 6 to 12 people to help handle the massive symbol of freedom.
